Alex McLaughlin is a dancer, choreographer, and seasoned instructor based out of Boise, ID. She believes that the power of movement lies in the exchange that can come from dancer to audience, dancer to dancer, and dancer to self. Alex has found her personal power in the thrill of performing in front of crowds and in sharing her knowledge of varying styles of urban movement with students from all walks of life. As strong supporter of a sustainable, earth-friendly, conscious future, Alex has goals of collaborating with forward thinking artists, organizations, events to help merge the entertainment industry with our responsibilities as inhabitants of Earth.

Alex’s passion for dance has allowed her to develop her craft in a wide range of styles. She teaches hip hop, jazz funk, cardio grooves, pop-performance, improvisation, cheerleading, and varying conditioning and strengthening classes. Alex has performed with and choreographed for many teams, including Arizona State’s Hip Hop Coalition, Borah High School, Centennial High School, Girls En Fuego, Kuna High Cheer, and has choreographed multiple award winning competition dances for Studio C Academy of Dance and Impact Dance Centre. In 2014, Alex toured with recording artist and choreographer $ir C in Guangzhou, China. Alex’s choreography has been showcased at Treefort Music Festival, Yoga Fort, Jack’s Urban Meeting Place, Shades of Black Multicultural Showcase, Fusion Fashion Week, Boise Music Festival, Boise Green Festival, and the RAW Artists Showcase. As a part of CoreVette Dance, Alex has performed alongside artists like Fresh Kils at Shambhala Music Festival and Psycache Ziran at Treefort Music Fest. Motivated by the unique expressive power of each dancer she encounters, Alex encourages her classes and choreography to be explorative to highlight everyone’s unique way of unleashing their performance potential.
